Privacy Policy
1. Introduction
Safe Drive Napa ("we," "us," or "our") is committed to protecting your personal information and your right to privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you visit our website at safedrivenapa.com, book our services, or interact with us through email or social media.
Please read this policy carefully. If you have any questions, contact us at (707) 512-0034 or info@safedrivenapa.com
2. Information We Collect
We collect the following types of information:
Information you provide directly:
Full name, email address, and phone number of the guest booking the reservation. We do not collect names or personal information for other members of your party — any information shared with your driver about fellow guests is at your discretion and shared directly with the driver on the day of your experience
Hotel or accommodation details
Group size, preferred dates, and special requests
Dietary restrictions and special occasion details
Payment information processed securely through Squarespace and Square
Information collected automatically:
Website usage data and cookies through Squarespace analytics
IP address and browser type
Pages visited and time spent on our website
Information collected through third parties:
Social media interactions and ad engagement through Meta (Facebook/Instagram) and other platforms
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
Process and confirm your booking and reservations
Communicate with you about your experience before, during, and after your booking
Send you marketing communications about new packages, seasonal offers, and Napa Valley travel tips — including reaching out to past guests about future experiences (you may opt out at any time)
Run targeted social media advertising campaigns
Improve our website and service offerings
Comply with legal obligations
4. How We Share Your Information
We do not sell your personal information. We may share your information with:
Wineries and restaurants — limited to the information necessary to secure your reservation, such as your name, party size, how you found the winery, any special occasions being celebrated, and dietary restrictions
Hotels/Airbnb/or other accommodations — used solely for coordinating pickup and drop-off logistics
Squarespace — our website and payment processing platform
Consumer Pay and Square — for in-person payment processing after your experience
Email marketing platforms — to send you communications you have opted into
Meta and other social platforms — for advertising purposes in accordance with their privacy policies
Legal authorities — if required by law
When required to secure a reservation, we may share credit card or address information you provide with the winery or restaurant directly. This information is not retained by Safe Drive Napa
5. Payment Information
All online payments are processed securely through Squarespace. In-person payments after your experience are processed through Consumer Pay or Square. Safe Drive Napa does not store your full credit or debit card details on our servers. All payment processing complies with PCI DSS security standards.
Drivers do not have access to your full payment information. Payments are processed through Consumer Pay, Square, or Squarespace and only the last 4 digits of your card are visible to the driver at the time of payment
In some cases, we coordinate reservations on your behalf directly with wineries or restaurants that require a credit card or address to hold the reservation. If needed, we may collect this information from you by phone or email solely to complete that reservation. Safe Drive Napa does not store this information — it is used only to complete the reservation and is discarded once the booking is confirmed
6. Cookies
Our website uses cookies to improve your browsing experience and analyze website traffic. By using our website you consent to our use of cookies. You may disable cookies through your browser settings, though this may affect some website functionality.
7. Do Not Track Signals
Our website does not currently respond to Do Not Track signals sent by your browser. We will update this policy if our practices change in the future.
8. Third Party Links
Our website may contain links to third party websites including wineries, restaurants, and hotels. Safe Drive Napa is not responsible for the privacy practices of these third party sites and encourages you to review their privacy policies before providing any personal information.
9. Email Marketing
If you subscribe to our newsletter or provide your email address through our booking or contact form, you may receive marketing emails from Safe Drive Napa. You can opt out of marketing emails at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link in any email or contacting us directly. Please note that opting out of marketing emails does not opt you out of transactional emails related to your booking.
10. SMS, Text & Phone Communications
By booking our services and providing your phone number, you consent to receive calls and text messages from Safe Drive Napa related to your experience, including but not limited to: coordinating winery and restaurant reservations, answering questions during trip planning, pickup time and location confirmations, day-of timing updates from your driver, and post-experience follow-up. These communications are essential to providing our service — as an on-call driver service, your driver needs a reliable way to reach you before, during, and after your experience — and cannot be opted out of while using our services. Message and data rates may apply.
11. Data Retention
We retain booking and reservation information (such as name, contact details, hotel information, and payment records) for as long as necessary to provide our services, maintain business records, and comply with legal obligations.
We also retain guest information for marketing purposes, including to reach past guests about future offerings, as many of our guests return for additional experiences. You may request removal from marketing communications and lists at any time by unsubscribing or contacting us directly.
12. Your Rights
You have the right to:
Access the personal information we hold about you
Request correction of inaccurate information
Request deletion of your personal information
Opt out of marketing communications at any time
Request that we stop using your information for certain purposes
Please note that deletion requests may be limited where we're required to retain certain records for legal or tax purposes.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at (707) 512-0034 or info@safedrivenapa.com.
13. Children's Privacy
Our services are not directed at, or marketed to, children. While guests of all ages are welcome to join a booking, all bookings are made by an adult (21 or older), and Safe Drive Napa does not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13, in compliance with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). We do not collect names or personal information for any minors who may join a booking. The only information we collect related to a minor's presence is general (such as group size or a note that children will be attending), provided by the adult who books the experience. Any additional information shared with the driver on the day of the experience is at the discretion of the booking guest.
14. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any significant changes by posting the updated policy on our website with a new effective date.
